Cades Cove

Cades Cove

It’s been a rainy day here in east Tennessee, but our friend Sammy loved Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park so much that he wanted to stay. It took Michael Candela a while to convince this silly bear that it was time to leave and return to the hotel today.

Today was an adventure for us as we trekked through the park and felt a true sensation of how tough, yet peaceful life may have been for those who lived here years ago.

We’re so happy to be in an area where there is so much natural beauty. Cades Cove has a vibrant history that includes the Cherokee Indians and European settlers in the early 1800’s. There are so many historical structures in the park and such amazing scenery.

We fully understand why Sammy wanted to stay. It’s so easy to feel at home in Tennessee.

After exploring nearly 11 miles of wilderness it would be nice to have dinner and relax a little while and while Sammy is a lucky bear and can do that, the rest of us will be diligently working on getting everything together to start filming Into the Wilderness soon!
